Alert folder owner

Hello,

Please i need your help on this issue.

Alert folder owner when user share a specific folder shared to them is shared out by another user.

For example Folder A is created by user A, and shared to user B, if user B shared to user C, we would like user A to be alerted.

Does O365 have a feature to turn on for this? (User A B and C) are all internal users.

Also if User C is external user, would we be alerted as well?

Hi @IniobongNkanga-8038,

In this case, if user B wants to share the folder with User C, then user A will receive the request email.

In this case, if user B wants to share the folder with user C, then user A will be sent a request email.

But I suggest you check the following related settings are correct:

1.First contact your administrator >SharePoint Admin Center >Active sites >Select your site> Settings> External file sharing. Change the option to disable anyone from sharing.

2.Navigate to site >site permission >Change how member can share.
