Invitations are disabled for our directory.

We have a tenant specifically for guest users, to grant access to applications after MFA configuration.

Yesterday, when trying to bulk invite a few users, I received the following error:
"Invitations are blocked for this directory due to suspicious activity. Please contact Microsoft support for help."

After this, now all analysts are unable to invite users to the tenant, including global admins, whether it be bulk invitations or individual invitations, and we're getting this error: "Insufficient privileges to complete the operation"

Verify tenant status:

Verify that your tenant has not been suspended or restricted for non-payment, usage violations, or other reasons.

Check global administrator permissions:

Ensure that the global administrator account performing the invite action has the correct permissions and role assignments. Although global administrators typically have the authority to invite users, conditional access policies or other security settings, if any, may restrict these permissions.

Review conditional access policies and MFA configurations:

Check for any conditional access policies that might prevent users from being invited. In particular, those policies related to geographic location, IP address ranges, device compliance, or multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Ensure that all global administrators have properly configured MFA.

View audit logs:

View audit logs in Azure AD, which can provide more contextual information about failed invitation attempts.

Check external collaboration settings:

If your tenant is configured with collaboration restrictions with external users (e.g., B2B invitations), check whether these settings might affect the invitation process.

To unblock your tenant can you please share your tenant name and tenant id along business justification on azcommunity [at] microsoft [dot] com with Sub - "ATTN: Navya" and following details in the email body: Link to this thread/post.
