Authenticator app shows 8 digit code and in computer it is expecting 6 digit also no approval notification.

1st Question:

I've set up the Microsoft Authenticator app on my mobile phone, and now I'm trying to sign into GitHub. After entering my Microsoft account password, it prompts me to enter a code. However, the Authenticator app provides an 8-digit code, while the prompt requires only a 6-digit code.

2nd Question:

When I try to log into Teams, after entering my password, it asks me to approve a number (e.g., 25), but I’m not receiving any approval notification in the Authenticator app. This inconsistent behavior is very frustrating.
