Hello,

We Just Implemented AVD on Azure Stack HCI, we also have on-prem SCCM. i'm wondering can we use SCCM to manage AVD, if not do we need to configure co-management?

and whats the best practice and recommendations.

Thanks.

    Hi Ahmed Essam,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform! Thank you for asking your question here.

Yes, you can use your on-premises SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) to manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) session hosts deployed on Azure Stack HCI. Since these AVD session hosts are located within your on-premises or hybrid infrastructure, SCCM can treat them as regular managed devices.

You can manage AVD on Azure Stack HCI with SCCM: Install the SCCM client on all AVD session hosts to enable management tasks like software deployment, patching, and compliance settings.

You can also consider Co-Management with Intune: This is a hybrid approach where SCCM and Microsoft Intune work together to manage the device. The device is enrolled in both SCCM and Intune, and both platforms can manage the device's policies and settings.
