Microsoft Edge Memory Usage

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out why Microsoft Edge (most likely a website being accessed) is utilizing a ton of memory after a few days.

Is there a way to get more details of what is utilizing over 2GB of memory for the task called "Browser".

This is just one example. I've seen it climb to over 9GB.

I would feel better if I saw it at the task level (Some Application) since I feel like I could see more using the developer tools.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Jeff P

    Hi @Jeff PSW ,

Would you please try the following suggestions:

    1. If you have extensions enabled, you can temporarily disable all extensions and observe the memory usage. If memory usage shrinks, you can locate which extension caused this problem
    2. If you have anti-virus software enabled, do the same as suggestion #1
    3. Try repairing Microsoft Edge. Go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features --> Microsoft Edge --> Right click and select "Change"
    4. Try InPrivate mode to access websites
    5. Toggle on/off Use graphics acceleration when available at edge://settings/system

If the problem still occurs, please feel free to let me know.

    1 - 4 have been tried.

Turning "On" use graphics acceleration when available seems to be possibly helping with this so far.
