Would you please try the following suggestions:
- If you have extensions enabled, you can temporarily disable all extensions and observe the memory usage. If memory usage shrinks, you can locate which extension caused this problem
- If you have anti-virus software enabled, do the same as suggestion #1
- Try repairing Microsoft Edge. Go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features --> Microsoft Edge --> Right click and select "Change"
- Try InPrivate mode to access websites
- Toggle on/off Use graphics acceleration when available at edge://settings/system
