    Hello,

It sounds like you're experiencing frustrating FPS drops in Fortnite, even with a powerful setup like your Acer Nitro V15. Given your CPU usage is high (75-95%), that could definitely be a contributing factor. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Check for Background Processes

High CPU usage can be caused by background applications. Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and check for any unnecessary programs running while you play. Close any that you don’t need.

    1. Update Drivers

Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date. You can do this through the NVIDIA GeForce Experience app or by visiting the NVIDIA website. Keeping your drivers updated can significantly improve performance.

    1. Adjust In-Game Settings

Lower your graphics settings in Fortnite. Try switching to Performance Mode in the game settings, which can help improve FPS by reducing graphical fidelity.

    1. Cooling and Throttling

Overheating can cause your CPU to throttle, leading to performance drops. Make sure your laptop's vents are clean and consider using a cooling pad. Monitoring your temperatures with software like HWMonitor can help you see if overheating is an issue.

    1. Power Settings

Set your laptop to High Performance mode in the Windows power settings. This can prevent the CPU from downclocking during gameplay.

    1. Check for Thermal Throttling

If you suspect thermal throttling, you can use tools like ThrottleStop to manage CPU performance settings. However, be cautious with this, as it can affect your laptop's safety if not monitored properly.

    1. Consider RAM Configuration

If your laptop is using single-channel RAM, switching to dual-channel RAM can improve performance. This might require additional hardware, but it can make a noticeable difference.

    1. Reinstall Fortnite

As a last resort, consider reinstalling Fortnite. This can resolve any underlying issues with the game itself.

By following these steps, you should be able to improve your FPS in Fortnite.

    Best Regards,

    Yanhong
