Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.
in this situation, we should know if all the video from all the app or browser can't play or just some of it. it will help us to focus on it
if only Browsers, here is some step we can do.
- Clear Cache and Cookies:
• Open your browser settings.
• Find the option to clear browsing data.
• Select cookies and cache, then clear them.
- Disable Extensions:
• Sometimes browser extensions can interfere with video playback.
• Disable all extensions and try playing the video again.
- Update Browser:
• Ensure your browser is up to date. Update to the latest version if needed.
- Use Hardware Acceleration:
• Toggle the hardware acceleration setting in your browser settings (try enabling or disabling it).
Media Players (Windows Media Player, VLC, etc.)
- Update Media Player:
• Ensure the media player is updated to the latest version.
- Reinstall Media Player:
• Uninstall the media player and then reinstall it.
- Check Codecs:
• Some media players require specific codecs. Ensure you have the necessary codecs installed. VLC Media Player, for example, includes most codecs by default.
if we can't run all this kind of video then we can start System-Wide Troubleshooting
- Update Graphics Drivers:
• Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date. Visit the manufacturer’s website (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) to download and install the latest drivers.
- Run System File Checker (SFC):
• Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
sfc /scannow
• This will check for and repair corrupted system files.
- Run DISM:
• In the same Command Prompt, type:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
• This fixes any system image issues.
Best regards
Yanhong
