Microsoft Teams keeps failing to install

A message to update my Teams app would pop up when I tried opening up a meeting on Teams. But when I went through the download, the app would say my Teams is updated. And so it would put me in a circular loop.

I decided to uninstall Teams and reinstall it. Now the install keeps failing and shows me a Squirrel Set up Log. I'd paste it here if it wasn't for the fact the log goes on forever. Here are just a few lines.

2020-04-02 09:25:42> Program: Starting Squirrel Updater: --install . --exeName=Teams_windows_x64_s_8D7D722B1FE44FE-7-0_.exe

    @JL

    Have you also tried to run the .exe file as an administrator and check if you'll be able to install teams with no issues?

    You may temporarily disable your antivirus when installing it. You may also check and delete the files under

    %LocalAppData%\SquirrelTemp %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Teams %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\TeamsMeetingsAddin

    If that didn't work, you can also try to delete all MS Teams entries on your credential manager:

    1. Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager
    2. Click on Windows Credentials > search for Generic Credentials
    3. Remove each entry relating to MS Teams
    4. Perform a reboot
    5. Temporarily disable your firewall/antivirus > try to install again.
