Hi. I have a visual studio subscription through work, which inclues the 50$ monthly azure credits. I would like to use this for test and learning without having to use my company login. Therefore I added my private email as an alternate account (Under https://my.visualstudio.com/subscriptions)

The account I used is one that has already been used as an azure account. However, I still don't see the azure credits when l log in to azure portal with my private account. Do anyone know what more I need to do in order to access my azure credits from the alternate account?AzureAccount

    @Mathias Mølster Lidal Greetings!

Based on the information provided, it seems you have activated your Azure Visual Studio Professional subscription using your organization account. Now, you want to activate the same credits under your personal account (Alternate Account).

Can you confirm your personal account (private account) is displayed under "Alternate Account" section? If yes, then you need to activate the benefits by going to the benefits tab.

Steps to Activate Visual Studio Benefits for an Alternate Account:

    1. Add Alternate Account to Visual Studio Subscription:
      • Sign in to the Visual Studio Subscriptions portal using your primary work account (the account that holds the Visual Studio subscription).
      • Go to Subscriptions > Manage Subscriptions.
      • Under Your Subscriptions, look for the subscription you want to share (this should include the $50 Azure credit if you're on a Visual Studio Professional or Enterprise subscription).
      • In the Subscription details, click on Add an alternate account (this is usually available under the Manage section).
    2. Link Your Alternate (Private) Account:
      • Enter the email address of the alternate account (the personal email you'd like to use).
      • This should be an email that has not yet been associated with another Visual Studio subscription.
      • The alternate account will be sent an invitation to join the Visual Studio benefits.
    3. Accept the Invitation:
      • Check your private email inbox for an invitation email from Microsoft.
      • Click the link in the email to accept the invitation and associate your private email with the Visual Studio subscription.
      • You may be prompted to sign in using your Microsoft account (the private email that was invited).
    4. Accessing Benefits:
      • Once the invitation is accepted and your private account is added, you should have access to Visual Studio benefits like the $50 Azure credits and other perks that come with the subscription.

If problem persists, then contact Azure billing and subscription management support by raising a support request. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.
