I have windows 11. How do I fix the mouse moving by itself to the top or bottom of my screen. It moves more to the top and sometimes it moves to the top right corner. I tried going to task manager and updating my driver and also I tried restarting my computer and updating all my computer systems. How can I stop the mouse from moving constantly to a side of the computer?

Based on your description, your problem is that the mouse in Windows 11 moves on its own. Here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem:

    1. Check for Hardware Issues

Clean the Mouse: Dust or debris on the mouse sensor can cause erratic movements. Clean the bottom of the mouse and the mousepad.

Test on Another Device: Connect your mouse to another computer to see if the issue persists. If it does, the mouse may be faulty.

    1. Adjust Mouse Settings

    Disable Enhanced Pointer Precision:

Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse > Additional mouse options.

In the Pointer Options tab, uncheck Enhance pointer precision.

    Turn Off Inactive Scrolling:

In the same mouse settings, turn off Scroll inactive windows when hovering over them.

    1. Disable Touchpad (if using an external mouse)

If you're using a laptop, the touchpad might be interfering. Disable it by going to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad and turning it off.

    1. Check for Interference

If you’re using a wireless mouse, ensure there are no other wireless devices nearby that could cause interference. Also, try changing the USB port for the receiver.

    1. Uninstall and Reinstall Mouse Drivers

In Device Manager, right-click your mouse and select Uninstall device. Restart your computer, and Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.

    1. Check for Software Conflicts

If you have any mouse automation software or gaming software, try disabling or uninstalling it to see if it resolves the issue.

    Best Regards,

Make sure you’re using your mouse on a smooth, flat surface. Some surfaces can interfere with optical or laser mice. If you're using a wired mouse, check the cable for any damage. For wireless mice, ensure the batteries are fresh, and the USB receiver is securely plugged in.
