How to fix "stop code critical process died"

Hi! So here's my situation.

I got a new computer that runs on Win11. I connected my SSD, all worked fine.

Today, I installed two additional DDR4 RAM memory. After starting the PC, my password no longer worked (I tried the usual things, no capslog, checked the correct password in my notes, ...).

After having tried a few times, I gave up and switched the PC off. Next time I started it, blue screen and "stop code critical process died". Starting the computer in safe mode didn't work. I tried to run it without the new RAM, nothing changed. Disconnecting the SSD failed to make any difference too.

What else can I do to access my computer again?

Thanks for your help,

Vitus

    Hello,

If you recently added hardware to the system, try removing or replacing that hardware. You can also check with the manufacturer to see if any patches are available. Check with the manufacturer to see if an updated system BIOS or firmware is available. Also resetting the BIOS to its default settings can resolve issues that arise after hardware changes. Look up how to perform a CMOS reset for your specific motherboard; often, this involves either moving a jumper on the motherboard or removing and reinserting the CMOS battery.
