Is Azure natively support to Oracle RAC migration from on-premises to Azure cloud? If yes could you please provide the migration steps for Oracle EBS.

Migrating your Oracle RAC and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to Azure is certainly doable, and we can guide you through the entire process. First, we’ll review your current configuration to make sure everything is compatible with Azure and determine the best migration route, whether we’re using tools like Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, Oracle GoldenGate etc. Those tools this allows us to move your data efficiently and with minimal downtime, also and will ensure that your Oracle RAC and EBS applications continue to run smoothly in the cloud in.

Once the migration process is set up we configure the necessary virtual machines and shared storage in Azure, make sure everything is more available and ready for your workload After migrating the data we will thoroughly test to make sure everything works as per our view way before we convert it to Azure as your live system. We also set up automated backup and disaster recovery to ensure your data is protected for the long term.

Unfortunately, Oracle RAC is not supported on Windows servers; it only works on Linux and UNIX. The best solution for continuing to use Oracle RAC would be to migrate your setup to Linux-based VMs on Azure, where RAC is fully supported. If moving to Linux isn’t an option, you could explore using Oracle Data Guard. It works on Windows and can provide high availability by keeping a backup database ready to take over in case of failure.

If RAC on Windows is a must for your setup, you might need to consider Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), as it supports Oracle RAC on both Windows and Linux environments.
