Hello,

I am currently experiencing issues with Switzerland North datacenter. It appears that there are capacity limitations, and I am unable to perform new deployments or increase quotas in this region.
Major VMs sizes, App Services and any Compute resources are generally affected.
Could someone please provide an update on the current status of the Azure Switzerland North and any expected resolution timelines for these capacity issues?

Thank you.

    Hi @Samer Ighneim

As of now, there are indeed ongoing capacity limitations in the Azure Switzerland North datacenter, affecting major VM sizes, App Services, and other compute resources

Microsoft has acknowledged these issues and is working on expanding capacity. However, specific timelines for resolution haven't been provided yet

In the meantime, you might consider deploying resources in alternative regions if possible, or reaching out to Azure support for more personalized assistance and potential workarounds.

Let me know if you would like help with contacting Azure technical support or exploring alternative regions for your deployments?

    Hello Samer Ighneim

You can check Azure Regions health status here
    https://azure.status.microsoft/en-us/status

If you see error "VM allocation failed. We do not have sufficient capacity for the requested VM size in this region" or "Allocation failed. We do not have sufficient capacity for the requested VM size in this region" it means that VM allocation failures because of unprecedented growth in demand for Azure services in specific regions.
Read more about improving likelihood of allocation success at https://aka.ms/allocation-guidance"

Until your preferred VM type is available in your desired region, consider this temporary workaround and create the VM in the neighboring regions within the same geographical cluster. Try to create a different size VM SKU (latest) in case you are creating the VM with an older SKU. For more details on older SKUs refer to allocation-failure .
