Refund /Reschdule will be provide for a name mismatch or not after full payment of the exam fee

I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I encountered during my recent attempt to take the PL-300 exam on November 26, 2024. Unfortunately, I was unable to allowed for the exam due to a name mismatch between my registration details and my government-issued ID.

I registered for the exam using the name as listed on my Aadhaar and passport. Specifically, my legal name in both documents does not include a last name. As a result, I did not enter a last name during the registration process. This discrepancy led to the verification issue at the test center and prevented me from taking the exam.

To compound the situation, I paid a fee of 4800 INR, which I lost as a consequence of not being allowed to take the exam. I contacted Pearson VUE for clarification, and they informed me that rescheduling the exam or issuing a refund was not possible. This seems unfair and problematic, as it leaves candidates in situations where genuine discrepancies result in financial loss without recourse.

I believe that either rescheduling the exam or refunding the exam fee should be reasonable outcomes when such issues arise, as they are outside of the candidate's control. It is concerning to see this as a potential loophole for cancellation without resolution, leading to a loss for the candidate.

I am requesting a fair and thorough review of my case. I trust that Microsoft, as a leader in the tech industry, values the trust and satisfaction of its candidates and will take appropriate steps to address this issue. A fair resolution will not only help maintain candidate confidence but also uphold the reputation of Microsoft certifications.
