Hello,

Is it possible to convert any PC into a Teams Room?

I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre M710q which I would like to reinvent into a Teams Room.

It has 8Go of RAM, 128 storage and TPM 2.0 (for Windows 11)

I was able to install Windows Teams Room ISO (23H2)

I get "Microsoft Teams Room device isn't certified You must insert HDMI adaptor that came with this device..."

Not sure about the relevance of the ISO if we can't install it on any device?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Alec

    Hi @Alec Giguère

According to our official documentation, only PCs that have passed the Microsoft Teams Room device certification can be fully converted into Teams Room devices. The Microsoft Teams Room device certification program ensures that the device meets high standards in audio, video, and user experience. Uncertified devices may encounter compatibility issues and performance limitations, such as the HDMI adapter issue you mentioned earlier.

If you want to convert an existing PC into a Teams Room device, it is recommended to use certified hardware to ensure the best user experience and compatibility. For details, please refer to Teams Rooms certified systems and peripherals.
