On visual studio code the script execution is very slow on Microsoft surface studio 2 laptop. how i can resolve the problem ?

On visual studio code the script execution is very slow on Microsoft surface studio 2 laptop. i checked and the program is running with x64 settings. Could you please tell me what else to check or modify on my laptop ( MS surface studio 2) or program ?
