The Task Scheduler in Windows Vista introduced the Task Scheduler 2.0 API, which provides enhanced capabilities for scheduling tasks compared to the earlier versions. This API is still relevant in later versions of Windows, including Windows 10, as it allows developers to create and manage tasks more effectively. The Task Scheduler service continues to be a fundamental part of the Windows operating system, enabling automated task execution based on time or event criteria.

Windows 10 retains the Task Scheduler from Windows Vista and builds upon it, ensuring compatibility and continuity in task management features across different Windows versions.

    Hello,

Task Scheduler 1.0 is installed with the windows server 2003, windows XP, and windows 2000 operating systems.

Task Scheduler 2.0 is installed with windows vista and windows server 2008.

Task Scheduler 1.0 interfaces are available only in windows server 2003, windows XP, and windows 2000 operating systems.

Currently, all systems use Task Scheduler 2.0 interface, including win10.
