Hello,

We have again problem with enrollment of device to our microsoft entra. When i have new clear PC and i want my users to log in on the first steps to register device into entra, it will show error with enrolment. For now i tried to make local account and tried to log in work account from local and showed me this error: 0x80180018. I didnt change any settings in entra or anything.. device was previusly removed from entra (to prevent duplication).

Nowhere i cannot find anything to solve this problem, its show me this error on any new device i wanted to register to entra. Whats wrong? I cant find any solution. For devices whichc are connected looks like working everything fine.

    Hi @Vojtěch Novotný,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Error 8018000a seems to be "The device is already enrolled"

Cause: One of the following conditions is true:

    • A different user has already enrolled the device in Intune or joined the device to Microsoft Entra ID. To determine whether this is the case, go to Settings > Accounts > Work Access. Look for a message that's similar to "Another user on the system is already connected to a work or school. Please remove that work or school connection and try again."

    Solution:

Use these steps to remove the other work or school account.

    1. Sign out of Windows, then sign in by using the other account that has enrolled or joined the device.
    2. Go to Settings > Accounts > Work Access, then remove the work or school account.
    3. Sign out of Windows, then sign in by using your account.
    4. Enroll the device in Intune or join the device to Microsoft Entra ID.
    5. registry, read How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

    Hello @Vojtěch Novotný,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Q&A.

The error message 0x80180018 you are encountering is related to an Intune enrollment license issue:

0x80180018 "idErrorMDMLicenseError", // MENROLL_E_USERLICENSE There was an error with your license. You can try to do this again or contact your system administrator with the error code {0}.
0x80180018 "idErrorMDMLicenseError", // MENROLL_E_USERLICENSE There was an error with your license. You can try to do this again or contact your system administrator with the error code {0}.

However, since you mentioned that you are not using Microsoft Intune or the Auto-enrollment process to enroll devices into Entra ID, and your users do not have Intune licenses assigned, I recommend registering the device manually via Settings > Accounts > Work Access to resolve this issue.

If you are attempting to register the device via OOBE (Out-of-Box Experience), try the following steps:

    1. Log in to the device first using a local account.
    2. Then manually register the device by navigating to Settings > Accounts > Work Access.

If you are registering through OOBE and encountering an error, it might look similar to the example below.

If the issue persists, please share a screenshot of the error message for a better understanding of the scenario.

I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
