How do I unblock your access via Multi-Factor Authentication/Self-Service Password Reset.

Question

I was using the authenticator to access an external cohort for studies, but accidentlly typed teh wrong password fro my hotmail account, so now I've been blocked. Can anyone advise?

According to your case description, your account is currently blocked unexpectedly. Please try the following solutions to solve the problem:

1. Unblock: If your account is temporarily blocked, you can try to unblock it using the security code sent by Microsoft to your backup email or mobile phone number. See Unblock my Outlook.com account.
2. Account recovery: Go to the Microsoft account recovery page and fill out the form as prompted. Provide as accurate information as possible to increase the success rate of account recovery.
3. Reset password: Visit the Microsoft account password reset page and follow the prompts to reset your password.
