Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
App Password?
So beyond frustrated.
I have years of emails using Siteground that I want to migrate to my new Outlook account.
In the past, with other email providers, I have simply used Thunderbird to connect IMAP to the old email account, and IMAP to connect to the new email account - then used Drag and Drop in Thunderbird to migrate the emails.
For whatever reason, this is not working with the IMAP provided by Outlook.
So I said fine, I'll use Outlook webmail client to load both accounts.
However, Outlook is telling me that I need a "app password" in order to use my local Outlook app.
BUT - NOWHERE in my account settings do I see where to generate this app password.
The help page is useless, bc it says to generate an app password, but does not tell you where.
Is it supposed to be under this url?
