Hello Team
I am encountering an issue while attempting to connect to a VPN. Despite troubleshooting, the connection still fails to establish, resulting in error code 0x800704d4.
Steps Taken for Troubleshooting:
Removed all third-party antivirus software and restarted the PC.
Deleted the existing CHILD certificate and the old VPN client.
Installed a new CHILD certificate and the latest version of the VPN client.
Temporarily disabled the Defender Firewall to rule out interference, but the connection issue persisted. The Defender Firewall has since been re-enabled.
Despite these efforts, the issue remains unresolved.
Details and Observations:
The VPN client consistently fails to connect.
The error code displayed is 0x800704d4.
I’ve attached screenshots below to illustrate the issue I’m experiencing.
I would greatly appreciate any guidance or suggestions to help resolve this problem.

- Where did you deploy the child certificate – is it on the client VPN machine or another machine?
