Classic Outlook having issues authenticating Google Workspace accounts

Ok this really has me baffled.

And if the new look Outlook allowed more than 10 accounts, I would love to move over to it. Till then I am stuck with the Classic Outlook or other alternatives that work.

So recently, I had all of my Google Workspace Accounts and Gmail accounts stop retrieving emails.

I have had this before, and the only solution was to remove them, lose all my rules and signatures etc., and to the re-add them. There must be an easier way to do this than this process.

Anyway, two of my Google Workspace accounts, refuse to authenticate with Gmail.

I have tried everything, including removing all the Credentials from the Credential Manager, to removing the Registry Keys.

Nothing I do will allow me to re-add these two accounts to the Classic Outlook.

Now there is some good news, I can add these two accounts to the new Outlook, and many other alternative email clients. In total I have tried about 20 different email clients and only the Classic Outlook refused to add these two accounts.

As I said I am at a loss to why, and how to fix this, and I really need this working in the Classic Outlook, or even better for the new Outlook to support more than 10 accounts. Why this is limited baffles me.

    Hi @Andrew Scott ,

    Welcome to our forum!

Anyway, two of my Google Workspace accounts, refuse to authenticate with Gmail. Nothing I do will allow me to re-add these two accounts to the Classic Outlook.

Do you mean that you can add other Gmail accounts in Outlook desktop client but cannot add the specific two Gmail accounts, right? If so, is there any error? In order to further confirm the issue, please check if you can add them in the separate Outlook profile to check if there're any differences. (Create a new profile(Control Panel>Mail>Show Profiles>add) and add the account)
    Hope to help you!

Yes I perhaps should have posted that, its been a long few days trying to sort this out.

In answer to your question, I can add other accounts. In total I have 7 Workspace accounts, and only these 2 will not add to the Classic Outlook.

Everything that I have tried is in this link.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/unable-to-add-a-gmail-account-to-classic-outlook-4d9530c5-3f40-4e6d-9b45-4477f160828f

So I followed the other suggestion on the profile, and here is what I found.

Selecting the ability to choose the profile, does not work, and forcing the new profile did indeed allow me to use those two accounts. But what I also did as an alternative, was to switch back to the other profile and I was able to add those two accounts.

That was the weirdest thing I have ever come across.
