How do I Migrate Service Principals from the retiring Azure AD Graph APIs to Microsoft Graph for "Microsoft Office"? I'm following instructions but MS Office is not listed under Overview - App Registrations - All Applications.

If you are seeing and entry about the "Microsoft Office" application (ID of d3590ed6-52b3-4102-aeff-aad2292ab01c), you can safely ignore that. This is a first-party (Microsoft) application, and is managed by Microsoft itself - nothing you can do about it. They should have not surface this entry to begin with.

It's strange that Microsoft reports this application. Now we get alot of emails (we have alot of customers) about the Microsoft Office app that can be ignored.

Yes, we've had a number of emails from clients who have received this - in addition to our own copies - and I've now spent time working through Entra to find Office as the only Service Principal listed, but with nothing actually actionable. Irritating error from MS pointlessly emailing about it, thanks Vasil for clarifying.

Same to our company. We 've received the alert to migrate API but the only resource that uses it is Microsoft Office.

One client I know of received 'Migrate Service Principals from the retiring Azure AD Graph APIs to Microsoft Graph' recommendation in Entra.
Over 7 days are only 4 interactive sign in events for said application ID, a plethora of non-interactive signings.
Entra recommendation 'First detected: Dec 5, 2024, 11:14 AM'.
Tracked this down to one non-interactive event but the same user on the same system as non-interactive events before and after this.
No idea why this one sign-in event seems to have triggered the 'Migrate Service Principals from the retiring Azure AD Graph APIs to Microsoft Graph' recommendation. Will ignore.
