Authenticator loop

Question

I'm trying to setup two step authentication for UPS. When I go to UPSERS it tells me to enter the code displayed in Microsoft authenticator. When I go to MA and try to get the code, MICROSOFT AUTHENTICATOR TELLS ME TO USE THE CODE DISPLAYED IN MICROSOFT AUTHENTICATOR! The app that is supposed to give me a code is asking me for a code from the same app I'm trying to get the code from. I'm stuck in this loop. Nobody in my facility knows how to help me with this. How do I get out of this nightmare. It'd be nice to be able to verify my hours for work.
