Having trouble verifying my phone number on microsoft Azure

I've seen a few people encounter this issue now but I am also unable to verify my number when attempting to sign up for Azure. The workarounds like removing the leading 0 didn't work for me, I would appreciate any help.

For customized support with your problem, you can contact customer support in your country or region. To get targeted assistance, please submit a subscription ticket to our support team. You can create a (free) support request with the Azure subscription support team by selecting Subscription Management as the issue type.
