Here are some steps you can try:
- Try plugging the USB drive into different USB ports on your PC to rule out a faulty port.
- Update USB Drivers:
- Assign a Drive Letter to your USB drive in Disk Management
- Disable USB Selective Suspend Setting:
• Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
• Click on Change plan settings next to your selected power plan.
• Click on Change advanced power settings.
• Expand USB settings > USB selective suspend setting and set it to Disabled.
- Uninstall and Reinstall USB Controllers:
• In Device Manager, right-click each USB controller and select Uninstall device.
• Restart your computer, and Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers.
