When I try to reset my PC it says no changes were made, then I found online that the only way to reset is to install windows again with a USB Flash Drive, but the problem is that my PC is not recognizing my USB Flash drive. The USB works fine on other PC'S. My OS has been all messed up lately and my windows updates also won't install. Please, someone help!

    Hello

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

Here are some steps you can try:

    1. Try plugging the USB drive into different USB ports on your PC to rule out a faulty port.
    2. Update USB Drivers:
    3. Assign a Drive Letter to your USB drive in Disk Management
    4. Disable USB Selective Suspend Setting:

    • Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options.

    • Click on Change plan settings next to your selected power plan.

    • Click on Change advanced power settings.

    • Expand USB settings > USB selective suspend setting and set it to Disabled.

    1. Uninstall and Reinstall USB Controllers:

    • In Device Manager, right-click each USB controller and select Uninstall device.

    • Restart your computer, and Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou
