Good morning,

Can someone explain me the difference between these subnets IP?

I understand... If we have any configuration inside... The first one is like a /24?

And the other one is /25

Is this correct?

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Not necessarily, Configuration Manager automatically calculates the Subnet ID with the Network (default gateway) and Subnet mask values you provided. So two different subnets may have the same Subnet ID. That's why it's not recommended to use IP subnet to create a boundary.

We have not configured..... This is what I want understand..:

This is what we have configured in ALL subnets....

What is the mean?

If your network environment is very simple, then yes, the first one is like /24 and the other one is /25.

But like I mentioned, different Subnet Mask may calculates to the same Subnet ID. If you read the articles, you will know what I mean and why it's not recommended to use IP subnet to create a boundary.

I read the articles before open this thread...

But I have this question... Because I don't create the boundaries....

Then... If someone created it... looking the screenshot ... If they specify the subnet mask, then we should see inside the boundary configuration, right?

Then... We have all boundaries empty like this screenshot...

I did a quick test to create a subnet boundary, I create it with typing the Network and Subnet mask, it calculates the Subnet ID automatically, click OK to save it.

Then I open it, the Network and Subnet mask becomes empty too.
