Recently I got the new Forms feature inside our lists:-

26gIYtXM

And seems it provides a better layout compared to the built-in forms. and more options for customization. but I am not sure if those forms can totally replace customizing forms using Power Apps, such as :-

  1. Hiding a field based on other field value?
  2. Make a field optional/mandatory based on other field value?
  3. Wrap certain fields under sections? something as follow:-

pBtWQblf

in other words, does this form provide the same level of customization which we can do using Power Apps?

Thanks

    Hi @john john Pter ,

The new Forms feature in SharePoint does provide an improved layout and more options for customization compared to the built-in forms. However, it does not offer the same level of customization as Power Apps. None of the three feature requests you mentioned are currently available through new SharePoint Forms experience. The ability to implement complex logic and conditional formatting is a key advantage of using Power Apps for customizing forms.

What is New in SharePoint List Forms Experience:

The new Forms Experience in SharePoint Lists allows you to create and share forms quickly and easily. With a modern design interface, you can build forms that are not only functional but also visually appealing. The best part? You can share these forms via a link with anyone in your organization, and they can fill out the form without seeing your entire list. This ensures that the focus remains on the information you need to collect.

    Key Features and Benefits

    1. Modern Design Interface: The new Forms Experience comes with built-in design capabilities that allow you to create professional and beautiful forms. You can choose from several themes, add descriptions, and create user-friendly questions instead of using default column names. This makes your forms more relevant and engaging without affecting the underlying list.
    2. Ease of Use: Creating forms has never been easier. You can quickly set up a form and share it with your team. The recipients can fill out the form details, and their responses will immediately appear as new list items. This seamless integration ensures you can start working with the collected data immediately.
    3. Customization Options: The new Forms Experience offers various customization options. You can build multiple forms per list, each tailored to different data collection needs. Additionally, you can restrict multiple submissions of the form using column settings, ensuring that you get unique responses.
