A problem with Mapped Network Drives disconnecting depending on location in house

On one of our laptop PC's, Mapped Drives function properly in one location in the house, but in another, with the same WiFi, the drives are disconnected. Any ideas?

There may be a myriad of factors:

Make sure WiFi network is set to "Private" in all locations.

Check IP addresses of both the locations. Ensure that all access points or routers are configured to use the same subnet.

Open Device Manager > Network Adapters. select Properties, and go to the Power Management tab Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power

Make sure Firewall configuration is same.

    Hello,

If the network is the same, you can check the permission of your user, 3rd party software and firewall.
