Hello,

All my existing One Drive Direct download links are no longer working. They were being used to stream the audio contents into an online audio player.

For example:

https://api.onedrive.com/v1.0/shares/s!AjhwRbsZYQXnx02O-3b8cV6tHP_s/root/content

https://api.onedrive.com/v1.0/shares/s!AjhwRbsZYQXnx31twpI0JV25bnau/root/content

https://api.onedrive.com/v1.0/shares/s!AjhwRbsZYQXnx3yMMCzc_hHgicT8/root/content

Considering that these links were working earlier, can you help me understand what changed?

Regards,
Dhiraj.

    Hi Diraj,

It sounds frustrating to have your OneDrive direct download links stop working, especially when they were essential for streaming audio content. There have been some recent changes to OneDrive's sharing and link generation policies that might be affecting your links.

Link Format Changes: Microsoft has updated the format of shared links, which might be causing the old links to become invalid[1]. The new format may not support direct downloads in the same way as before.

Permission Settings: Ensure that the permissions for the shared files are still set correctly. Sometimes, permissions can be reset or changed, affecting access[2].

API Updates: There might have been updates to the OneDrive API that affect how links are generated and accessed[1]. This could result in older links no longer functioning as expected.

To resolve this, you can try the following steps:

    • Generate New Links: Create new sharing links for your files and test if they work with your audio player.
    • Check Permissions: Verify that the permissions are set to allow anyone with the link to access the files.
    • Use OneDrive's Sharing Features: Instead of direct download links, consider using OneDrive's built-in sharing features to manage access and streaming.

If the issue persists, you might want to reach out to Microsoft Support for more detailed assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on the latest updates and your account settings.

    I hope this helps!
