Cannot remove account from Authenticator app

I have an email on my authenticator app that I can not remove. I've attempted to remove it twice and now it doesn't even provide the "remove" option. My app is in my personal phone and attached to a personal email so it's really frustrating. I only had my work email account attached so 2 part authentication because of a work requirement.
