Hi,

My organization is experiencing an issue where no one can log in to Microsoft Teams. The organization’s license is up to date, and Teams is enabled in Azure. However, we are receiving the following error message, and login attempts fail:

Error Message Details:

  • Error Code: CAA2000B
  • Server Message: AADSTS500014: The service principal for resource 'https://api.spaces.skype.com' is disabled. This indicates that a subscription within the tenant has lapsed, or that the administrator for this tenant has disabled the application, preventing tokens from being issued for it.

This issue occurs for both the desktop client and the web client. I have tried solutions from various forum threads discussing similar problems, but none have resolved the issue.

Could you please help me understand the root cause and how to fix this issue?

Thank you in advance.

    Hi @大石 玲菜

According to your case description, the problem may be due to the subscription in the tenant being invalid, or the administrator disabling the application. Please try the following possible solutions:

    • Check the subscription status: Make sure your subscription is valid and has not expired. If the subscription has expired, you need to renew it.
    • Enable the application: In the Azure portal, log in with an administrator account and navigate to Azure Active Directory > Enterprise Applications > Microsoft Teams. Make sure the "Allow users to sign in" option is enabled. (Or turn it off and enable it again) User's image
    • Configure licenses: In the Microsoft 365 admin center, make sure that the license permissions for Teams have been assigned to the user. User's image

If these methods still don't work, please submit a support request in the Azure portal or contact phone support for more detailed help.
