SSRS Bing Maps Error: "The underlying connection was closed"

Question

The SSRS report's map visual displays an error message. Although the Point Layer data region is showing correctly, Bing Maps encounters an error.

Details:

• Report Server Version: 15.0.1102.675
• TLS 1.2 Server: Enabled
• TLS 1.2 Client: Enabled
• Report Server is hosted in Azure Cloud VM.

Hi @Jayamurali Ganeshan,

It seems like be a known issue, as said here.

There are two ways to resolve the issue if this is what you believe may be the cause:

1. Start using TLS 1.2 in your environment
2. Change your calls to start using HTTP rather than HTTPS
