RDP - Redirections for webcam

Hi,

As far as I understand RDP redirections; there are two different redirections

  • High level redirection for devices such as mouse / keyboard (and sound, I think)
  • Low level redirection (part of RemoteFX, I think..) for other devices not eligible to high level, such as webcam.

The problem with low level redirection and particularly with webcams plugged in Thin Clients is that the raw data is streamed from the RDP client to the RDP host.

So, my question is : Did I missed something ? Is there a "high level" redirection for webcam where compressed data would be transmitted (~2Mb/s) instead of raw data (30Mb/s)

If the response is no, is there a plan to do that ?
