Have you tried restarting the Azure Resource Bridge VM (the control-plane running in Hyper-V)? We've found restarting that sometimes helps the Azure side to sync back up with the ARB.
Cannot use updates in Azure Local; no upgrade banner nor can I use SolutionUpdate commands

I have Dell Ax750 HCI servers set up in a cluster. After receiving messages from Microsoft I needed to upgrade to 23H2, I stepped through the process and fixed all the error messages. I am able to run the Environment readiness tests and all are green. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-local/upgrade/validate-solution-upgrade-readiness
In Azure as well as using powershell on-prem; the OS is saying it is running 23H2. However, when I go to Azure Local I do not see the banner "Your cluster can be upgraded to the latest version.Upgrade". as per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-local/upgrade/install-solution-upgrade.
When I go to updates on my cluster in Azure, I get the message "Only systems running the Azure Stack HCI OS, version 23H2 can be managed here. Learn more"
Using the commands that have "SolutionUpdate" in it anywhere does not work. It gives me the message the command cannot be found. When trying to use this document https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-local/update/update-via-powershell-23h2 to confirm Software and verify system. I can not.
Anyone else have this situation? Were you able to fix it and if so how?
I am new to HCI and clusters in general. I have reached out to Dell and they told me to reach out to Microsoft. However, we do not have a Microsoft support plan. I am hoping someone in this community can help.

I ask Microsoft Service about the Solution Update specifically as to why it is not showing in our tenant and got the below reply:
"Hello Connie,
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Support. My name is Jasmine and I will be assisting you with this case. Based on the information provided, you are unable to install the latest Solution Update.
Unfortunately, the Solution Update is only available to a limited number of customers at this time.
We have not received a date on when the Solution Update will be available to all customers.
At this time, only the OS upgrade and post OS upgrade tasks can be completed while you wait for the Solution Update to be available. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. "
Leave it to Microsoft to send out messages that we are required to update and then not provide all the tools. For anyone looking to Upgrade HCI Cluster from 22H2 to 23H2, please beware you may not be able to fully complete this process until an "Unknown" time.

2025-01-08T15:24:02.3033333+00:00 Maybe I needed to do more research before acting on Microsoft's alert messages about 22H2 going out of support. There is no roleback once in this state. It is either rebuild or use other methods to manage updates. Fortunately, this cluster is not in full production, yet.

And sometimes the docu pages get updated with a banner "While the OS upgrade is generally available, the solution upgrade will have a phased rollout." (first blue box on https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-local/upgrade/install-solution-upgrade)
So basically we are screwed for running a proper AVD solution on the AzLocal setup because we cannot upgrade.

2025-03-20T19:50:11.9833333+00:00 I finally see the upgrade banner. However, adding the roles they say is required as well as my global. I cannot complete the wizard. Going to search community or start another thread for that error. Thank you to those who tried to help.

2025-01-07T20:54:01.0566667+00:00 Jon, thanks for the reply. No have not tried that. In Azure Portal, I do not see that a resource bridge was created. Maybe this is a part of installing the Solution Update that I cannot find nor am able to install.

I too do not seem to have an Azure Resource Bridge - maybe it was never installed to begin with when we first deployed these severs as Azure Stack HCI 22H2 last year. Just curious if you were ever able to complete the solution update to 23H2?

2025-05-27T15:03:50.9033333+00:00 I've been working with Dell Support on this. We have had issue after issue.
When I was able to run the wizard, I found it was choking on the cluster name because we had used an Underscore in the name. The wizard creates Security keys in azure and used the name of the cluster to create the key and there does not seem to be a work around for that. I even tried creating a key and using that. No go. We went through the process of changing the cluster name which requires unregister and reregister with new name. I was then able to complete the Solution update in Azure.
OR so I thought. The SBE does seem to be installed and I can run some of the solution update commands now; however, the "Solution" has an update and when trying to run it, it gets stuck on Guest Permissions at "Updates standalone agents managed by AgentLifecycleManger".
I can only hope that once I am able to complete this initial update process; updates will be more manageable.

2025-05-27T15:09:20.4733333+00:00 I do not know how long as for hours to show. After I did the initial upgrade to 23H2; it was months before I saw the banner. This was a Microsoft rollout problem. Another words Microsoft pushed everyone to upgrade but did not pushout availability to all tenants.
@Christoffer Klarskov Jakobsen , did the banner show for you? It may be you will have to wait for Microsoft. If you have support, you may want to request when it will be available.
