unassigned three phone numbers from team members

Please i need your help on this issue.

I recently unassigned three phone numbers from team members that don't need a phone number.

Can I please ask if I need to do anything in my products / licenses to stop paying for these numbers?

Yes, it's important to ensure that you are not being charged for any services that are no longer in use. Here are the steps you need to take after unassigning phone numbers in Microsoft Teams:

1. Remove the Phone Numbers from your Microsoft 365 Admin Center:
   • Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
   • Select Billing and then Products & Services.
   • Look for the phone system licenses or communication credits related to the phone numbers you unassigned.
   • If you no longer need the phone numbers, you can remove the associated licenses or reduce the number of licenses accordingly.
2. Check Communication Credits:
   • If the phone numbers were using communication credits, you might want to adjust or disable these credits to prevent any unnecessary charges.
3. Release or Reassign Numbers in Teams Admin Center:
   • Go to the Microsoft Teams Admin Center.
   • In the left navigation, choose Voice > Phone numbers.
   • Check if the unassigned phone numbers are still listed. You may need to release these numbers if they are no longer needed.
