How can a connection be established between an authenticator application and an Instagram account if the QR code is not accessible? What steps can be taken to obtain a secret key or code?

    Hi @pauline derollez

Teams tag is mainly focused on the general issue of Microsoft Teams troubleshooting. According to your description, your question is not in our support scope. The following suggestion is just for your reference:

1.Open Instagram: Go to your profile and tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top right corner.

2.Settings: Tap on "Settings" and then "Security."

3.Two-Factor Authentication: Select "Two-Factor Authentication" and then "Get Started."

4.Authentication App: Choose "Authentication App" as your preferred method.

5.Manual Setup: If the QR code is not accessible, look for an option that says "Set Up Manually" or "Can't scan it?" This will provide you with a secret key.

6.Copy the Secret Key: Copy the secret key provided by Instagram.

7.Open Authenticator App: Open your authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Authy).

8.Add Account: In the authenticator app, choose to add a new account manually.

9.Enter the Secret Key: Paste the secret key you copied from Instagram into the authenticator app.

10.Verify: The authenticator app will generate a code. Enter this code back into Instagram to verify and complete the setup.
