Microsoft Learn - Explore Azure Synapse Analytics: Impossible to run setup on Azure: "Microsoft.Compute is not yet registered"

on the Microsoft Learn page "Explore Azure Synapse Analytics" (https://microsoftlearning.github.io/dp-203-azure-data-engineer/Instructions/Labs/01-Explore-Azure-Synapse.html), I am unable to perform step 5.

I keep getting the error "Microsoft.Compute is not yet registered"

    Please follow the below process:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-resource-manager/management/resource-providers-and-types

    and register for Microsoft.Compute
