I need to import or pull business glossary terms (may be using classic types like the business glossary) from MS Purview into MS Fabric or MS PowerBI as a dataset.

The goal is to publish these terms as a dataset so that we can utilize PowerBI to build an enterprise business glossary report (as an app) for a better user experience and visualization however, the terms will be created and managed in Purview itself.

Is it possible?

    Hi @Sahil Dhingra

Greetings & Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum! Thanks for posting your query!
To import business glossary terms from Microsoft Purview into Power BI or Microsoft Fabric, you need to understand the integration capabilities between these services.

Understanding Microsoft Purview and Power BI:

Microsoft Purview - This is a unified data governance solution that helps organizations manage their data landscape. It includes features like data cataloging, data lineage, and a business glossary where you can define and manage business terms.

Power BI - This is a business analytics tool that allows users to visualize data and share insights across the organization. It can connect to various data sources, including datasets created in other Microsoft services.

Currently, Microsoft Purview does not have a direct built-in feature to export business glossary terms as a dataset that can be directly imported into Power BI.

I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.
