SAP HANA Backup - Discovery DB failed

Hello community,
We are trying to activate the SAP HANA database backup via Azure. Unfortunately, we are failing to discover the database.
The error message is: Workload Backup extension on the virtual machine is not able to contact Azure Backup service. We have configured the NSG tags (outbound) on the SAP HANA VM. But we are still failing to discover.
Where else could we look to see why the initial backup creation is not working?

Make sure the NSG rules are set up correctly to allow outbound traffic to the Azure Backup service. Check that all necessary service tags are included.
Check that the preregistration script has been run on the SAP HANA server. This script is needed to create the database user and key for Azure Backup. If it hasn't been run, you won't be able to see the databases for backup.
Check that the backup user (AZUREWLBACKUPHANAUSER) created by the preregistration script has the right roles and permissions. If it doesn't have the needed privileges, backup operations might fail.
Check for any ongoing backup processes that could interfere with your current backup attempt. If an auto-heal full backup is running, it may prevent other backup operations from taking place until it finishes.
Check for any connectivity issues between the SAP HANA VM and the Azure Backup service. You can use tools like curl to test the connection and ensure that no firewall rules are blocking access.
Ensure that you are using the latest version of all backup scripts or plugins, as updates may contain important fixes for known issues.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I have successfully run the preregistration script on the VM. The user has been created with the correct authorizations.
The NSG rules are maintained.
No other backups are running.
How do I test the connection between the HANA VM and the Azure backup via CURL. Which URL needs to be tested?
