.svg doesn't show up in my Sharepoint Site Assets while selecting image

Hi,

I uploaded an .svg to my Site Assets. In one page, I am using this .svg as a background to some sections. For some reason, if I want to do the same on my other pages, while selecting "Add Background Image" - Site - Site Assets; just .png images are displayed, no .svg whatsoever. Why is that happening?

I am trying to use it for the exactly same web component as on the page it works on, however it doesn't even show me any of the uploaded .svg files.

Couldn't select an appropriate tag - there was just three options not fitting my question, sorry for that.
