Are you performing the proper WSUS maintenance including but not limited to running the Server Cleanup Wizard (SCW), declining superseded updates, running the SQL Indexing script, etc.?

    Hello,

Launch the WSUS management console on your WSUS server.

In the console tree, expand “Updates” and then click on “Unapproved.”

You may want to filter the list of unapproved updates by criteria such as update classification, product, or date released to make it easier to manage them.

Go through the list of unapproved updates. For each update, review its details, including the title, description, and any other relevant information provided by Microsoft. This helps ensure that you understand what the update does before approving or declining it.

Once reviewed, select the appropriate action for each update:

To approve an update for installation, right-click the update and choose “Change Approval.” Then select the target groups and the approval status (e.g., Approved for installation).

To decline an update, right-click the update and choose “Change Approval,” then select the target groups and the approval status (e.g., Declined).

After making changes to the approval status of the updates, apply the changes. The WSUS console should then process the approvals and send the necessary updates to the approved target groups.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
