Hello, I would like to revert the icon of the microsoft 365 back to the original instead of copilot. It changed overnight and I can't unpin nor disable copilot from my microsoft 365. I was also wondering if disabling copilot will disable the copilot that I am using in VS code. I just don't need the copilot on my microsoft 365 app, but I still need it on VS code. I am on student account, and there are limited access that I can change from my organization too. Thanks!

Manage Microsoft 365 Copilot settings in the Microsoft 365 admin center:

How to get to the Settings tab on the Copilot page

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
    2. In the left navigation, select Copilot.
    3. Select the Settings tab.

    From your organization:

    1. Reverting the Microsoft 365 Icon:
      • Unfortunately, there isn't a direct way to revert the Microsoft 365 icon back to the original from Copilot within the app settings. This change is part of the ongoing evolution of the app to promote AI-first experiences.
      1. Disabling Copilot in Microsoft 365:
        • You can disable Copilot in individual Microsoft 365 apps without affecting other apps or devices. For example, in Word, you can go to File > Options > Copilot and uncheck "Enable Copilot".
          • This will disable Copilot features in Word but won't affect other apps like VS Code.

    From the Web:

    1. Reverting the Microsoft 365 Icon:
      • There are no specific instructions available to revert the icon back to the original. However, you can try using browser extensions to redirect to the old UI, as suggested in some community forums
    2. Disabling Copilot in Microsoft 365:
      • Disabling Copilot in one Microsoft 365 app won't affect its functionality in other apps or devices. You can follow similar steps as mentioned above for other apps like Excel, PowerPoint,

If you have limited access due to your student account, you might need to reach out to your organization's IT support for further assistance. They might have specific permissions or settings that can help you manage these changes.

Is there anything else you would like to know or need help with?

Cannot be "reverted". It is more than a logo & branding change. 365 (Office) now includes Copilot in its apps. Copilot is, now, an integral part of a MS365 Subscription. But you are not obliged to use it or use its help.

    Cheers,
