Unfortunately, you can't use an external drive to temporarily provide free space for the Windows 11 upgrade. The upgrade process requires at least 64GB free space to be available on the internal drive where Windows is installed.

However, you can try the following steps to free up space on your internal drive:
Delete Unnecessary Files: Remove temporary files, old downloads, and unused applications.
Move Files to External Drive: Transfer large files like videos, photos, and documents to your external drive.
Use Disk Cleanup: Run the Disk Cleanup tool to remove system files and other unnecessary data.
Uninstall Unused Programs: Remove programs you no longer use or need.
If these steps don't free up enough space, you might consider upgrading your internal storage or using a larger internal drive for the upgrade.
