Now that Windows 11 no longer has a LPT/COM section in the Device Manager, how do I find out what devices are attached to COM ports (via USB)?

    Hello.

The ‘Ports (COM and LPT)’ section is usually shown in the Device Manager in Windows 11, but sometimes you may need to manually add or install the relevant drivers to see them. If this section is not shown in your device manager, you can try the following steps:

Show Hidden Devices: In Device Manager, click on the ‘View’ menu and select ‘Show Hidden Devices’.

Add obsolete hardware: In Device Manager, click the ‘Actions’ menu, then select ‘Add obsolete hardware’ and follow the wizard steps to manually add the port.

Install drivers: Make sure you have installed the drivers for the relevant hardware, especially for USB to Serial or USB to COM adapters, you can download and install the drivers from the adapter manufacturer's website.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
