- Ensure your Windows Server is fully updated. Sometimes, outdated systems can cause display issues.
- Look for any errors in the Event Viewer that might give clues about what's causing the issue.
- Run the following commands to check and repair system files:
• Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
• Run sfc /scannow to check for and repair corrupted system files.
• Run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to repair the system image.
- If the issue occurs during Remote Desktop sessions, try adjusting the RDP settings:
• Open Remote Desktop Connection.
• Go to the Display tab and change the color depth to 24-bit or lower.
• Go to the Experience tab and uncheck Persistent bitmap caching.
- Ensure that the following setting is enabled:
• Open Local Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc).
• Navigate to Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options.
• Enable User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode for the Built-in Administrator account.
