Hello,

I know the active AZ-104 certification is the prerequisite of the certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert. For example, if I successfully renew AZ-104 cert, then i take AZ-305 exam and if I pass, I still can get Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, is that correct?

Or I have to take AZ-305 exam within the 12 months after I get AZ-104 certification in order to get certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert?

Thank you

    Hi Hao Shi

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Prerequisite for Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (AZ-305 exam) is Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification (AZ-104 exam).

You can take AZ-305 exam before taking AZ-104 if you want, but you will not receive Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification until you have passed both exams (or already have Azure admin associate certification and pass AZ-305).
