How do you add a Virtual Agent/bot to a Teams Chat?

I created an agent via Copilot Studio. Ive added it to Teams, and I see it as a separate chat/app. But how to I add the bot to a Teams Chat?

To add an agent created via Copilot Studio to a Teams chat, follow these steps:

Open Microsoft Teams: Launch Microsoft Teams on your desktop or web browser.

Navigate to the Chat: Go to the chat or channel where you want to add the agent.

Add the Agent to the Chat:

In a one-on-one or group chat, click on the Add People icon at the top right corner. Type the name of the agent you created and select it from the list. Click Add to include the agent in the chat. Interact with the Agent: Once the agent is added, you can start interacting with it by typing messages directly in the chat.

Here’s a quick rundown:

Teams App: Open Microsoft Teams. Navigate: Go to the desired chat or channel. Add Agent: Use the Add People icon to add your agent. Interact: Start interacting with the agent in the chat.

This will enable your agent to participate in the conversation and respond as designed.

When I click on Add People then search for the name of the Agent, it displays no results ("We couldn't find any matches.")

Romeo Alcantara -It appears that agents created by Copilot Studio are not directly accessible through the "Add People" option in user chats. We will test this and provide an update soon.

Do you plan on implementing this missing feature? This is still not possible to add Copilot custom agents to existing chats.

@Romeo Alcantara - It seems that Copilot Studio-created agents are not directly available through the "Add People" option in user chats. Instead, these agents can be shared via a link after they are created.

This link allows specific users or groups within your organization to interact with the agent in their chats.
