Can't add account to Authenticator with GoDaddy email

Question

I bought a domain through GoDaddy and also purchased the Microsoft 365 email option which uses that domain name. I am logged out of that account on all my devices, when I try to log in, it requests that I authenticate with the Microsoft Authenticator app. It opens the authenticator app and I try to sign in using that email provided by GoDaddy and my password. It then asks me to Open my Authenticator app, and enter the number shown to sign in. But the app is already open and there is no pop up with numbers. I am stuck here and I can't sign in to my email account or view any of my emails.
