Hi,

I use the Authenticator app as my two factor to log onto devops and Azure.

But is is tarting to timeout in a split second making it very har to login.

In the browser I click on login and a dialog is shown that "Request timeout" "We sent a sign-in request to a Microsoft app you use for approving sign-in requests, but we didn't get your approval.

This dialog is shown right away, so I am unable to login.

To solve this I have cleared the browser catch, but that only work sometimes.

How do I solve this?

Same here, so frustrating! It doesn't give you time to see the number, goes straight to timeout.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestions.

The steps you suggest have all been tried. The browser I use are Chrome and Edge, both on Windows 11.

The issue started some weeks ago and now comes and goes every few days.

In fact it was present a few hours ago on both my PC's and now it is gone.

Combine with other users reporting same issue from around the globe, it seems to be that mayby the issue is due to a problem on Microsoft side?

My personal microsoft accounts are experiencing the same issue. Before the app could generate the number the the sign in page says "We sent a sign-in request to a Microsoft app you use for approving sign-in requests, but we didn't get your approval." Time-outs are happening very quickly!

I have had the same issues today too. The error message comes up as soon as authentication is asked for so cannot authentication at all. It is definitely something to do with Microsoft servers. I am using authenticator on android and in edge.

Same issue here or it immediately goes to the error screen as mentioned as above. But what worked for me is that I saw the number before it went away, went to my authenticator app on my phone ( also had it on another device), approved the request with the correct number, then back on the device that I was trying to sign in, go back, and sign in using password. After that I was able to get through and get authenticated.

Everything is working fine right now. But due to the random nature of this issue over the last few weeks I cannot tell if the issue is permanently solved yet.
